Sunny Hughes is the heart and driving force behind Quality Iron & Steel. Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Sunny has called Henderson home for over 19 years. Her journey is rooted in strong family values and a passion for learning, instilled by her mother, who homeschooled her and encouraged creativity, independence, and hard work.

Sunny’s career in the steel industry began at just 18 years old, filing paperwork and answering phones for a steel fabrication and erection company. It was here she learned the ins and outs of the industry—starting from the ground up and gaining hands-on experience in every facet of the business. Over the years, she transitioned into accounting, building a strong foundation in business operations.

When the opportunity arose to own her own steel fabrication company, Sunny took the leap. With determination and vision, she founded Quality Iron & Steel as a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Today, she leads the company with a commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation in structural steel fabrication.

Outside of work, Sunny enjoys spending time with her husband of over 20 years, David Hughes, and their two children.
